GPwSI/PwSI

The GPIAG has led the way in collaborative efforts with the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) and the Department of Health (DH) to develop the respiratory framework for GPwSIs and is continuing to act as vanguard in the development of a core curriculum, appraisal and mentoring and accreditation policy for respiratory GPwSIs.

Resources
The GPIAG has produced a range of resources available to members of the GPIAG who are, or wish to become, GPwSIs/PwSIs. For a list of the resources available, click here.

Additionally, the GPIAG has produced a resource pack for individuals and primary care organisations who wish to develop respiratory GPwSI services. The short booklet, and the resources included on the accompanying CD, can help PCOs develop GPwSIs and other specialist professionals in many clinical areas, not only the important area of respiratory service development. The resource pack booklet is available online as a complimentary resource to members of the GPIAG. Non-members who wish to obtain an electronic copy of the resource pack may do so by emailing us here.

Training Courses and Update Meetings
From time to time, the GPIAG hosts training programmes for primary care health professionals interested at influencing or delivery services beyond practice level, including GPwSI /PwSI. If you are interested in attending these courses or would like details of the programme please contact our secretariat on 01461 600639 or email info@gpiag.org.
