The charity is run by a board of 4 trustees who work closely with the General Committee and chief executive.
The General Committee is the main standing committee of General Practice Airways Group that is responsible for advising on the development and delivery of the activities of the charity. This includes establishing sub-committees and other working groups as required to conduct and implement the charitable activities of the organisation.
The general committee consists of 8 elected members, at least 5 of whom must be GPs and up to 4 co-opted members. All members of the committee must be members of GPIAG.
The General Committee has several sub-committees, these include, the education committee, the conference organising committee, the nurse committee and the research committee. There is also an editorial board which reports to the GPIAG trustees.
