The GPIAG trustees and general committee wish to encourage active involvement from all members of the charity and we are continually seeking nominations from GPIAG members to join our committees. Being a committee member is an excellent chance for members to become more involved and ensure that your views and aspirations for the organisation
are included in our annual plans and activities. What have you got to lose?

Who can join a committee?
All full members of the GPIAG are eligible for election to our sub-committees and general committee.  Those members with a special interest in particular areas of GPIAG may wish to become involved in one of our sub-committees whilst other members who would like to be more involved in deciding the future direction of the GPIAG may wish to be considered for election ot the general committee.

How much time is involved?
As a member of one of our committees you are usually expected to attend two meetings per year in addition to attending our annual conference. You will also be required to participate in the occasional teleconference and to be involved in regular email correspondence. You should expect to spend no more than 2-3 hours per week on GPIAG activities.

What's in it for you?
As a member of one of our committees you will be able to influence the future decisions of the GPIAG and get involved in planning all aspects of the GPIAG business plan. You will meet new colleagues and make new friends with professionals who share your interest in the management of respiratory disease in primary care.  You will be introduced to well respected and senior professionals from other professional organisations and the pharmaceutical industry and will collaborate with these organisations to help develop GPIAG and national programmes and policy. This position is voluntary but standard class travel expenses and locum costs are covered.

If you feel you could contribute to any of the committees and are interested in joining please contact by clicking here
